Plan of studies

In the valid plan of studies at present in the ETSEIB is contemplated that in the studies of Industrial Engineering one can process an Intensification.

The goal of the intensifications is to give the student a vision more complete of one of the different areas of the Engineering. In month of obtaining the titol from Industrial Engineer he obtains the Diploma corresponding to the intensification carried out.

Nuclear Engineering Intensification

The intensification in Nuclear Engineering has as a goal the application of the knowledge and scientific method to the obtaining of the benefit that for the man the estates of the atomic kernels can entail. It shows two aspects of different applications with many interrelation:

The first gets together the extense fan of applications related to the use of the radiation and ionizing of the radioisotopes. The second covers the field of applications related with the industrial exploitation of the nuclear energy.

The intensification of Nuclear Engineering intends to endow the pupils who follow it of some general knowledge of extense application in many fields of the Engineering, as:

Moreover, many of the estates of the ionizing radiation are used, every time more, in multiple branches of the industry and of the medicine:

Teaching

Descripción: Group of practices

The education of Nuclear Engineering covers the theoretical aspects of the different matters as well as its experimental aspect, it been the number of practical credits almost the same as that of theoretical credits.

The classes of laboratory are carried out in reduced groups (from three to five pupils), with a teacher for each group. Moreover, the formation is completed with technical visits to industries and research centers.

Final Project of Career (PFC)

The pupils who follow the intensification will be able to make the Final Project of Career in subjects of present, in the SEN as well as in the INTE, exhaustive having a follow-up on the part of its director of Project. There is the possibility to enjoy some scholarship of collaboration during the development of the Project.

In the last years a 50% of the pupils of PFC in Nuclear Intesification has enjoyed a scholarship (8-10 scholarships/year)
